This organization was formed as a result of the demise of one of our colleague Fatmata Marrah(baby Marrah). The level of love and unity portrayed during the funeral accounted for individual importers coming together to be formally united under one body.
The association was launched on the 28th of January 2022 at the City Hall Wallace Johson street. We also had an awareness rally in 2020 It started from upgun and ended at The Victoria Park it was a success as this expanded our membership. Our membership cuts across the country divided into zones from one to nine. Our vision is “we aspire to be a world class association with excellence in commerce,where sustainable business and social justice transcend boundaries”
Our key objectives are that we want to empower domestic trade by the importation of quality and original goods while we seek opportunities to increase exportation of locally manufactured products. We look forward to that time when exportation will be higher than importation Promote and sustain healthy business competition within the freight-forwarding industry.
As an organization, we most importantly promote a positive business behavior to improve the relationship between importers and customers.
Aside doing business, the association is actively involved in charity(giving back). We provide opportunities for less privileged citizens.
We have provided donations to a number of less privilege institutions including the home of the aged during the COVID pandemic. Shortly after we visited an orphanage at Wellington and we also made donations to the home of Autism children.
We continue to remain committed to foster love and unity in business landscape in Sierra Leone as our motto says “togetherness(in love)”. We applaud government for creating the enabling environment to operate. Confidently, we look forward to the time when we become exporters of Human Resource and organic food items. We are proud of our partners both at home and abroad particularly our Chinese counterparts for enabling such an association to thrive.
The purpose of this fundraising dinner is to continue to expand the association’s charity scope and also to show that there is strength in unity. Tonight we celebrate togetherness,we appreciate your support and forward to an interactive social evening
